Designed for the N20 2.0T engine across the F series 1, 2, 3 and 4 Series, the BMW N20 Z Pipe takes the place of the restrictive factory section and gives the twin scroll turbo a clearer route for its exhaust gases. Mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing holds a uniform bore around every curve, delivering cleaner flow and coping comfortably with heat, rust and road grime. Lower back pressure helps the turbo reach boost a little earlier, so the car feels more alert from low revs and pulls with greater ease through the mid range. The BMW 320i 328i 428i N20 Z Pipe also gives the four cylinder a fuller and more sporty voice under acceleration, adding character to the daily drive while staying quiet and drone free on the motorway. Precision flanges and neat TIG welds match the factory mounting points for a hassle free bolt on fit with no cutting needed, making it a strong base for a remap.
