Over two decades ago, the founder of DKU Performance began his journey driven by a deep personal passion for high-performance cars. At just 19, while already building custom stainless steel exhaust systems, he purchased his first Subaru Impreza WRX—sparking a lifelong enthusiasm that led him to specialise in importing Japanese sports cars.
A trip to Japan quickly turned into a turning point. Surrounded by the ultimate car culture, he felt like a kid in a candy store. That excitement inspired him to form a business partnership with a close friend and Japanese national. Together, they began importing a range of high-performance grey imports, eventually establishing a showroom in the West Midlands with over 100 vehicles in stock. Before long, DKU Performance had grown into one of the leading importers of Japanese sports cars in the UK.
