Mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing holds a consistent diameter from start to finish, giving smoother flow along with lasting protection against heat, rust and road grime. Lower back pressure lets both turbos build boost a little earlier, so the 1M feels sharper on the throttle and more eager when powering out of corners. The BMW 1M Coupe Z Pipe also adds extra bite to the straight six sound, with a hard edged rasp at high revs and pops on the overrun, while staying calm on the motorway. Precision flanges and neat TIG welds match the original mounting points for a straightforward bolt on fit with no cutting needed, making it a worthwhile addition to an already special car.
