The AUDI S1 2.0 TFSI lacks nothing short of great performance. Under the hood, Audi’s classic 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 228bhp outperforms the competition. The six-speed manual transmission is a plus, as is the Quattro all-wheel drive’s traction. Although not as engaging as the best little hatchbacks, the supple ride is nice on bumpy UK roads, and the chassis is well balanced. On paper, you’ll get 40 miles per gallon, but you’ll get in the low 30s in real life and 25 miles per gallon if you’re having fun. It is based on the five-door model which is one of the most practical forms of design. It is expensive but if you ask if the money is worth it, we will hold an affirmative answer.
