The Volkswagen Golf GT ACT BMT TECH TSI S-A is a sleek hatchback from the early 2020s, combining sporty performance with impressive efficiency. Powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged four cylinder engine with Active Cylinder Technology ACT, it delivers between 138 and 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. Paired with a smooth DSG automatic transmission and front wheel drive, the Golf GT offers responsive acceleration and an engaging yet refined driving experience.

To enhance the performance of this turbocharged engine, a decat downpipe was installed as part of a Volkswagen Golf Exhaust upgrade. This modification replaces the restrictive factory catalytic section with a freer flowing pipe, significantly improving exhaust gas flow from the turbocharger. By reducing back pressure, we improved throttle response and enabled the turbo to spool more quickly for sharper, more immediate performance.

Advanced Fuel Economy and Emissions

Equipped with Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technology and BMT TECH package, the Golf GT is designed to balance performance with efficiency. It achieves strong fuel economy figures and meets Euro 6 standards in standard form. With the upgraded Volkswagen Golf Exhaust System, exhaust flow is optimised, allowing the engine to operate more freely and efficiently under load while enhancing overall responsiveness.

The improvement not only supports better turbo performance but also transforms the driving experience with a deeper, more purposeful exhaust tone, giving the car a sportier character without compromising its everyday usability.

Compact Dimensions and Practicality

Measuring approximately 4256 mm in length, 1799 mm in width, and 1452 mm in height, the Golf GT remains compact and practical. It seats five comfortably and offers a 350 litre boot, making it ideal for daily driving while still delivering strong performance credentials.

With the addition of the upgraded exhaust system component, this Golf GT now combines practicality with a noticeably more dynamic feel, offering improved sound, sharper throttle response, and enhanced turbo efficiency while retaining the versatility the model is known for.

DKU Performance Exhaust and Custom Upgrades

As part of this upgrade, a performance decat downpipe was fitted to maximise exhaust flow from the 1.4 TSI engine. This Volkswagen Golf Exhaust modification reduces restriction within the system, lowers back pressure, and allows the turbocharger to perform more efficiently.
