TOYOTA PROACE L2H1 HDI 1200 P/V
Versatile Commercial Performance
This Toyota ProAce L2H1 HDI 1200 P/V was brought in due to a missing diesel particulate filter which had caused an MOT failure and disrupted the performance of the Toyota ProAce Exhaust System. The absence of the DPF resulted in incorrect emissions output and poor exhaust flow. We resolved this by refitting and correctly installing a replacement DPF, restoring the Toyota ProAce Exhaust to full working order and ensuring compliance with emissions regulations. With the exhaust system reinstated, the vehicle is now properly prepared for a Stage 1 ECU remap to further enhance drivability, throttle response and efficiency.
Spacious Dimensions and Practical Load Capacity
With a length of 5,135mm and a roof height of 1,942mm, the ProAce L2H1 offers around 6 cubic metres of cargo space, making it ideal for a wide range of commercial uses. Ensuring the exhaust system is complete and functioning correctly is especially important for working vans like this, as reliable performance and emissions compliance are essential for daily business use. Refitting the DPF restored correct backpressure within the Toyota ProAce Exhaust System, supporting smoother engine operation and dependable performance under load.
Technical Specifications and Market Context
Powered by a 1,997cc 2.0 litre HDI diesel engine producing 128 PS, the ProAce is designed for efficient commercial driving. With the DPF missing, the engine management system and emissions output were negatively affected. By reinstalling the correct DPF and restoring the Toyota ProAce Exhaust, we returned the vehicle to proper operating condition. This also ensures the ECU can be accurately calibrated, allowing for safe and effective performance improvements through future tuning.
Custom Exhaust Solutions for Enhanced Performance
The primary focus of this work was restoring the factory Toyota ProAce Exhaust System through professional DPF refitting. A correctly installed DPF ensures balanced exhaust flow, controlled backpressure and full emissions compliance. With the system now reinstated, the vehicle benefits from improved reliability, efficiency and long term engine protection, while also providing a solid foundation for further upgrades such as ECU tuning.
