High-Performance Legacy from Subaru

The Subaru Legacy RSK S Edition, made between 2002 and 2003, is a highly regarded Japanese sports saloon powered by a twin turbo 2.0 litre EJ208 flat four engine. Producing up to 280 PS and 343 Nm of torque in manual form, it delivers strong acceleration and confident performance through Subaru’s symmetrical all wheel drive system, achieving 0–60 mph in around 5.5 seconds. With the addition of a tailored Subaru Legacy Exhaust upgrade, we further enhanced the vehicle’s character to match its performance credentials.

Sporty Handling and Design

Equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers, 17 inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/45ZR17 tyres, and a distinctive RSK body kit, the S Edition blends sharp handling with everyday usability. Weighing approximately 1,420 kg, it offers a balanced driving experience that combines comfort with performance focused engineering, now complemented by an improved Subaru Legacy Exhaust System for a more engaging drive.

Performance Specs and Market Position

With its 5 speed manual gearbox and twin turbo setup, the Legacy RSK S Edition competed with performance saloons such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Toyota Altezza. Its flat four engine layout and all wheel drive system give it a unique character, delivering smooth yet responsive power across the rev range, now paired with a more purposeful exhaust note.

Custom Exhaust Enhancements

To enhance the driving experience, we carried out a rear back box upgrade focused on transforming the sound profile of the vehicle. The goal was to achieve a deeper and sportier tone while maintaining comfort for daily use. Two custom stainless steel sports back box options were provided, including a standard sports back box and a premium oval sports back box, both complete with a tailored exhaust tip for a refined finish.

By replacing the original rear silencer section, we improved exhaust flow and delivered a noticeably richer and more aggressive tone under acceleration, while keeping the sound controlled during normal driving. This Subaru Legacy Exhaust upgrade results in a more engaging and distinctive driving experience that better reflects the performance of the RSK S Edition.
