MERCEDES LUTON VAN
Versatile Commercial Design and Capacity
The Mercedes Luton van is a flexible commercial vehicle built on the tough Sprinter platform, designed to handle demanding delivery and transport work. With its large box body and impressive cargo space, it’s ideal for businesses that need to move bulky or heavy goods efficiently. Powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine, it delivers dependable performance while maintaining good fuel economy for everyday commercial use, supported by a fully functioning Mercedes Benz Exhaust system.
Engine Performance and Efficiency
The 2.0 litre diesel engine provides strong torque output, allowing the Luton van to carry loads up to 3.5 tonnes while remaining suitable for drivers with a standard UK licence. During inspection, we identified a fault within the Mercedes Luton van Exhaust System relating to the Diesel Particulate Filter. The customer requested removal of the DPF, however we resolved this by advising against removal due to legal and MOT implications, and instead focused on correct diagnosis. We carried out a detailed assessment to locate the DPF and evaluate its condition, ensuring the exhaust system remains compliant, efficient, and operating as intended.
Spacious Design and Modern Features
The van’s box shaped rear maximises load capacity without exceeding UK road regulations, making it practical for a wide range of commercial applications. Inside the cab, drivers benefit from modern features such as the MBUX infotainment system, smart storage solutions, and advanced safety technologies including Active Lane Keeping Assist and tyre pressure monitoring, helping to improve comfort and safety on long working days.
Competitive Specs and Exhaust Upgrades
Designed to compete with vehicles such as the Ford Transit and Iveco Daily, the Mercedes Luton offers strong load capacity and reliable diesel performance. Particular attention was given to the Mercedes Benz Exhaust Systems fitted to this vehicle, where we diagnosed the DPF issue and ensured the correct approach was taken to maintain compliance. By retaining and properly assessing the DPF within the Mercedes Luton van Exhaust System, we restored proper exhaust flow, improved efficiency, and ensured the vehicle remains road legal and reliable for daily commercial use.
