Smart Powertrain with a Competitive Edge

This vehicle was already running a Stage 1 software upgrade, and we built upon that by carrying out a full exhaust transformation. A double decat conversion was completed alongside the removal of the rear back boxes, significantly reducing restriction within the system. This allowed the turbo to spool more efficiently, improving throttle response and overall engine performance while delivering a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note.

To maximise the results of this setup, we ensured the Mercedes CLS 320 CDI Exhaust System was optimised for both performance and sound. By removing the catalytic converters and rear silencers, we improved exhaust gas flow and unlocked the true character of the V6 engine. As the vehicle is already Stage 1 tuned, an updated remap is required following the decat conversion to maintain correct engine operation and fully benefit from the upgrade. The end result is a sharper, more responsive drive with a bold and refined exhaust tone that perfectly suits the CLS platform.
