The Mercedes C220 CDI W205 C43 Look Alike is a stylish diesel saloon that blends the efficiency of the C220 CDI engine with the aggressive styling of the C43 AMG. With its sporty body kit, quad exhaust tips and AMG style bumpers, it already stands out on the road, but the factory sound does not always match the bold appearance.

To complete the transformation, a custom Mercedes C Class Exhaust system was designed and installed to deliver a deeper, sportier tone. After reviewing a tailored sound demonstration, the setup was refined to suit the customer’s preference, resulting in a more purposeful and engaging exhaust note that matches the C43 inspired styling.

Engine and Driving Experience

Powered by a 2.1 litre turbocharged four cylinder diesel engine producing around 170 PS and 400 Nm of torque, the C220 CDI offers strong mid range pull and excellent fuel efficiency. Paired with a smooth 7 speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive, it delivers a refined yet responsive drive suitable for both daily commuting and motorway cruising.

With the upgraded Mercedes C Class Exhaust system in place, the engine note is noticeably richer and more engaging, especially under acceleration. The improved exhaust flow helps the engine breathe more freely, sharpening throttle response while maintaining everyday comfort.

Size and Weight

Measuring approximately 4686 mm in length, 1810 mm in width and 1442 mm in height, and weighing around 1615 kg, the W205 C Class offers balanced handling and strong road presence. The new exhaust setup integrates seamlessly with the rear styling, perfectly complementing the quad exit C43 inspired design.

Boosted Performance with Custom Exhaust Upgrade

This C43 replica model was enhanced with a custom built stainless steel system from the range of Mercedes Benz Exhaust Systems, developed to improve both sound and visual impact. The final setup delivers a deeper, more aggressive tone without unwanted drone.

The result is a C220 CDI that not only looks like a C43 but now sounds the part too, delivering a more exciting driving experience while retaining comfort and efficiency.
