MAZDA MPS
Mazda MPS: Sporty Turbo Performance
The Mazda MPS is known for its sporty vibe and turbocharged engine that delivers an exciting and responsive driving experience. As part of the Mazda Performance Series, the Mazda3 MPS combines everyday practicality with serious turbocharged power, making it a popular choice among performance enthusiasts.
Powertrain and Driving Feel
Under the hood, the Mazda MPS features a turbocharged 2.3 litre four cylinder engine producing around 191 kW and 380 Nm of torque. Paired with a six speed manual gearbox and front wheel drive, it offers strong acceleration and sharp handling, making it a rewarding hot hatch to drive.
Specs and Market Standing
Measuring approximately 4,350 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width, and 1,470 mm in height, and weighing around 1,400 kg, the Mazda MPS sits firmly in the performance hatchback category. Running on 225 45 R18 tyres, it competes with rivals such as the Ford Focus ST and Volkswagen Golf GTI, standing out thanks to its punchy turbocharged setup and bold styling.
Exhaust Upgrades
This Mazda MPS Exhaust upgrade involved fitting a 3 inch straight through non resonated Mazda MPS Exhaust System to maximise both sound and performance. By removing restrictions and eliminating the resonator, we significantly improved exhaust gas flow and reduced back pressure. This allows the turbo to spool more freely, sharpening throttle response and enhancing overall engine efficiency. The result is a much deeper, louder and more aggressive exhaust tone that perfectly matches the car’s performance character.
