The Land Rover Range Rover Sport L494, produced between 2013 and 2022, represents a refined blend of luxury, performance, and off road capability. Equipped with the 3.0L turbo diesel V6 TD6 engine, an eight speed automatic gearbox, and a capable four wheel drive system, it delivers strong torque and smooth driving characteristics. This vehicle was brought in to resolve common issues associated with restrictive emissions components within the Range Rover Sport Exhaust system, which can impact reliability and overall performance.
Performance and Specifications
From factory, the TD6 engine produces 254 hp and around 600 Nm of torque, offering excellent pulling power and everyday usability. However, factory fitted systems such as the EGR, DPF, and DEF can significantly restrict exhaust flow over time. These restrictions often lead to increased back pressure, reduced efficiency, and potential warning lights. To address this, a full EGR, DPF, and DEF delete was carried out, alongside precise ECU recalibration. This process removes the limitations within the Range Rover Sport Exhaust, allowing the engine to operate more efficiently with improved throttle response and smoother power delivery.

DKU Performance Enhancements and Exhaust Systems
A key focus of the work carried out was transforming the factory exhaust setup into a freer flowing Range Rover Sport Exhaust System. By removing the DPF and associated components, exhaust gases are able to exit more efficiently, significantly reducing back pressure and strain on the turbocharger. This DKU Performance solution improves engine breathing, enhances drivability, and delivers a more responsive and refined driving experience while maintaining the premium feel expected from a Range Rover Sport.
