Versatile and Efficient Powertrain

The Ford Transit Custom 320 Limited ECOBLUE DCIV is a flexible dual crew cab van designed to handle both demanding work tasks and everyday driving. Powered by a 2.0 litre EcoBlue diesel engine producing 150hp and 360Nm of torque, it delivers dependable performance through a six speed manual gearbox and front wheel drive setup. However, like many modern diesel vehicles, it can experience issues related to the Diesel Particulate Filter which can restrict exhaust flow and affect overall efficiency.

To resolve this, a Stage 3 DPF solution was carried out. This upgrade removes the limitations caused by the factory DPF system, significantly reducing exhaust back pressure and allowing the engine to breathe more freely. As part of the Ford Transit Custom Exhaust System optimisation, this resulted in improved reliability, smoother power delivery, and a more responsive driving experience.

Smooth Power Delivery and Spacious Design

With its strong torque band between 1,500 and 2,500 rpm, the Transit Custom is well suited to both urban driving and motorway cruising. Following the DPF solution, throttle response is sharper and acceleration feels more consistent, particularly under load. By improving flow through the Ford Transit Custom Exhaust, the engine can operate more efficiently, reducing strain on the turbocharger and supporting long term durability.

The dual crew cab layout comfortably seats six passengers while maintaining generous load space, making it practical for transporting both people and equipment. With improved exhaust performance, the van is better equipped to handle towing and heavy duty use without the common restrictions associated with a blocked or failing DPF system.

Custom Upgrades with DKU Performance

As part of the exhaust system enhancement, a tailored Stage 3 DPF solution was implemented to optimise overall engine performance. This upgrade focuses on maximising exhaust efficiency, improving turbo response, and ensuring smoother power delivery across the rev range using a refined Ford Transit Custom Exhaust System approach.
