BMW 320D M SPORT TOURING
Blending Performance and Practicality
The BMW 320D M SPORT TOURING is a classy estate that mixes strong performance with everyday usefulness, making it a great choice for drivers who want something versatile and fun to drive. It’s powered by a 2.0 litre turbodiesel engine with 48V mild hybrid technology, delivering 190 PS and 400 Nm of torque through an 8 speed automatic Steptronic gearbox to the rear wheels. As part of this visit, the vehicle received a Stage 1 performance upgrade, carefully calibrated to safely increase power and torque while maintaining smooth drivability. Alongside this, the BMW 320D Exhaust was optimised to improve flow and overall efficiency, giving the car a noticeably stronger and more responsive feel on the road.
Performance and Comfort at Their Best
Built for both speed and comfort, the 320D M Sport Touring accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in around 6.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of approximately 142 mph. With generous interior space and a flexible boot capacity ranging from 500 to 1510 litres, it remains a highly practical estate. Following the Stage 1 tuning and BMW 320D Exhaust System enhancements, power delivery is sharper and more immediate, improving overtaking ability and mid range pull while retaining the smooth characteristics expected from the 8 speed automatic gearbox. The result is a refined yet more engaging driving experience, perfectly suited to both long motorway journeys and everyday use.
Great Fuel Efficiency in the UK Market
Competing with rivals such as the Audi A4 Avant and Mercedes C Class Estate, the BMW 320D M Sport Touring stands out for its strong balance of performance and efficiency. With fuel economy figures around 48 to 50 mpg and CO2 emissions of approximately 124 g per km, it remains a sensible choice in the luxury estate segment. The Stage 1 software optimisation is designed to improve efficiency under normal driving conditions while unlocking additional performance when required, ensuring drivers benefit from both improved power and maintained economy.
Custom Upgrades and Great Sound
Alongside the Stage 1 remap, the vehicle benefits from targeted exhaust system improvements. The diesel particulate filter had already been removed prior to this visit, and we carried out internal DPF gutting along with the required fault code adjustments to ensure correct operation without warning lights. These enhancements to the BMW 320D Exhaust System significantly improve exhaust gas flow, reduce back pressure, and allow the turbocharger to spool more freely. The result is quicker turbo response, smoother power delivery, and a deeper, more purposeful exhaust note that complements the sporty M Sport styling while retaining everyday comfort.
