Caddy 1.6 tdi R32 is a great choice for someone who is into or needs a van-type car. The Volkswagen Caddy comes with 1.6-litre or 2.0-litre diesel engines with a variety of outputs under the hood. The 1.6 TDI is available with 75bhp or 102bhp, while the 2.0 TDI is available with 110bhp and 140bhp. All engines come with VW’s BlueMotion Technology package, which includes a stop-start, an energy recovery system, and cruise control to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. Because of its 225Nm of torque, the less powerful 1.6 TDI engine – which isn’t offered in the Caddy Maxi – is surprisingly active. Only 25Nm more torque is available in the 102bhp version of the same diesel. For most purchasers, though, the higher-powered 1.6 TDI will provide a superior balance of performance and efficiency. The 2.0 TDI is, unsurprisingly, the driver’s choice: not only does it have greater power, but it also comes standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, whilst 1.6 TDI models only have a five-speed.
