DSG and TCU Remaps for Golf R Mk8
Get ready for a driving experience like no other with our DSG and TCU remaps for the Golf R Mk8. The DQ381 DSG gearbox in the Mk8 Golf R is similar to that of the facelift Golf R MK7.5, which means tuning the gearbox to work seamlessly with the ECU tune has been a breeze.
We have fine-tuned various settings to improve the driver experience and handle the extra torque demand from the ECU tune. With our DSG remap, you can expect improved shift points, faster shifting, and an increased clamping force. Plus, the kick-down is disabled in manual mode, so you can have complete control over your driving experience.
Although a TCU remap is recommended for all levels of tuning, the DQ381 gearbox does not have torque limits that will affect a stage 1 ECU tune. However, we highly recommend installing a TCU remap at the point of tuning for stage 2 and above. So why wait? The excitement for a stage 3 remap for the new Golf R is brewing, and we’re working tirelessly to bring it to you. Even though we’re still figuring out the turbo options for this stage, our team is confident that we can deliver impressive numbers similar to or better than the MK7 Golf with a stage 3 turbo.
We’re optimistic that the Garrett Powermax turbo, which we currently use for the Golf stage 3, can be fitted to the Golf MK8 R. However, we’re yet to test the product to confirm its compatibility.
