The Volkswagen Crafter CR35 TDI M H/R P/V Startline is a flexible and dependable panel van designed to handle demanding workloads across the UK. Powered by a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine, it delivers a strong balance of performance and efficiency, making it ideal for businesses that rely on consistent daily use and load carrying capability.

Powertrain and Performance
Under the bonnet, the Crafter CR35 features a 2.0 litre TDI engine producing up to 140 PS and 340 Nm of torque, paired with a six speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. This vehicle arrived already fitted with an external engine map, and we enhanced its performance further with a Volkswagen Crafter Exhaust upgrade. A decat downpipe was installed alongside a DPF Solution 4 system, including a plus pipe running directly from the turbo to the DPF. This setup significantly improves exhaust gas flow, reduces restriction, and allows the engine to operate more efficiently under load.

Dimensions and Practicality
The Crafter CR35 measures approximately 6,836 mm in length, 2,040 mm in width, and 2,590 mm in height, offering excellent load space and practicality. With a payload capacity of up to 2,410 kg and a kerb weight close to 2,300 kg, it stands as a strong competitor to vans like the Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter. Its 75 litre fuel tank also supports long distance operation without frequent refuelling.

DKU Performance Exhaust and Upgrade Solutions
For this Volkswagen Crafter CR35, a complete Volkswagen Crafter Exhaust System upgrade was carried out to maximise airflow and reliability. The installation included a decat downpipe and DPF Solution 4 configuration with a plus pipe from the turbo to the DPF, as well as a new exhaust clamp to ensure a secure and leak free fit.

By removing restrictive components and improving the path of exhaust gases directly from the turbocharger, we reduced back pressure and enhanced turbo response. This resulted in smoother power delivery, improved engine efficiency, and better overall drivability. The upgraded system works seamlessly with the existing map, providing a more responsive and capable commercial vehicle that remains reliable for everyday use.
