The Toyota Celica ST202, produced between 1994 and 2000, is a lightweight and engaging sports coupe powered by a 2.0 litre 3S GE engine. Known for its responsive performance and front wheel drive setup, it delivers an exciting driving experience while remaining practical for everyday use.

This particular vehicle arrived with a previous Toyota Celica Exhaust System that had developed a noticeable leak, impacting both performance and overall sound quality. To resolve this, a custom flexi back stainless steel Toyota Celica Exhaust was installed, restoring reliability while significantly improving durability over the worn components.

LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN AND HANDLING

Weighing approximately 1200 kg and featuring a well balanced suspension setup, the Celica ST202 is known for its agile handling and responsive feel on the road. Its compact dimensions and sporty chassis make it ideal for drivers who enjoy precise cornering and strong road feedback.

By eliminating the exhaust leak and upgrading the rear section, we restored smooth exhaust flow and improved drivability. The updated system allows the car to perform as intended, delivering a cleaner and more consistent power output.

TUNING POTENTIAL AND UPGRADES

The Celica ST202 responds exceptionally well to a Toyota Celica Exhaust Upgrade, making it a popular platform for performance enhancements. For this vehicle, a custom flexi back system was fabricated using 2 1/4 inch pipework with standard bends, paired with a 7 inch Japanese style rear silencer and finished with a 5 inch blue tailpipe tip.

This setup improves exhaust flow while giving the car a more aggressive and distinctive tone. The visual upgrade from the blue tip also enhances the rear end styling, complementing the sporty nature of the Celica.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT AND EXHAUST SOLUTIONS

Replacing the faulty rear section of the Toyota Celica Exhaust System removed the leak and restored correct back pressure and gas flow. The new flexi back configuration delivers improved reliability, sharper throttle response, and a more refined yet sporty exhaust note.
