SKODA ROOMSTER
Practical and Versatile Design
The Skoda Roomster, introduced in 2006, is a highly practical compact MPV that combines hatchback driving manners with impressive interior space. Its distinctive boxy styling and stepped roof design maximise headroom and cargo capacity, while the VarioFlex seating system allows the rear seats to slide, fold, or be removed entirely. This flexible layout makes it easy to adapt the cabin for passengers, luggage, or larger loads, making it an ideal everyday family vehicle.
Efficient Powertrain and Driving Experience
Powered by a 1.6 litre 16v petrol engine producing 77 kW 105 PS and paired with an automatic transmission non DSG, the Roomster delivers smooth and reliable performance. The engine provides around 153 Nm of torque through a front wheel drive system, offering steady acceleration and comfortable cruising. Weighing approximately 1,300 kg, the vehicle balances practicality with respectable performance, achieving 0 to 60 mph in around 11 seconds and a top speed of roughly 115 mph, while maintaining fuel economy of approximately 35 to 40 mpg imperial.
Technical Specifications and Market Position
Measuring around 4,200 mm in length, 1,720 mm in width, and 1,640 mm in height, the Roomster competes with models such as the Ford B Max and Renault Scenic. However, its standout feature remains its adaptable interior and generous space for its size. This makes it particularly appealing to drivers who prioritise versatility without moving to a full size MPV.
Enhanced Performance with DKU Exhaust Solutions
This Skoda Roomster Exhaust upgrade focused on delivering both improved sound and long term reliability. A custom performance back box was installed to replace the standard rear silencer, transforming the tone into a deeper rumble with a distinctive sporty character and subtle spitting sound under acceleration.
In addition, the worn middle section of the Skoda Roomster Exhaust System was replaced, resolving deterioration issues and restoring proper exhaust flow. Together, these upgrades improved overall durability, enhanced exhaust note quality, and delivered a more engaging driving experience while maintaining everyday usability.
