PEUGEOT HORIZON HDI
Overview of the Peugeot Horizon HDI Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle
The Peugeot Horizon HDI is a specialist wheelchair accessible vehicle built on the dependable Peugeot Rifter platform, designed to provide safe and practical mobility. During this visit, the focus was on resolving faults within the Peugeot Horizon HDI Exhaust system, which had deteriorated and required immediate attention to restore safe and reliable operation.
Engine and Specifications
The Horizon HDI is powered by an efficient 1.5 litre BlueHDi diesel engine, offered in both 100 bhp manual and 130 bhp automatic variants, meeting Euro 6d ISC standards. Paired with either a 6 speed manual or EAT8 automatic gearbox, it delivers strong fuel economy and smooth drivability. Issues within the Peugeot Horizon HDI Exhaust System were affecting performance, so a full inspection and corrective work were carried out to restore proper exhaust flow and engine efficiency.
Practical Design and Comfort Features
Designed with accessibility in mind, the vehicle features a lowered floor and ramp system to allow easy wheelchair access, alongside modern technology such as a touchscreen display and driver assistance features. Faults within the exhaust had been causing excessive noise and potential leaks, which are particularly unsuitable for a disability vehicle. By fully sorting the exhaust system, we restored a quieter cabin, improved comfort, and ensured safe operation for passengers.
DKU Performance Upgrades for Enhanced Driving Experience
The Peugeot Horizon HDI Exhaust was found to be in poor condition and was fully sorted to eliminate leaks, restore structural integrity, and ensure correct alignment. This Peugeot Horizon HDI Exhaust Upgrade has improved overall reliability, reduced unwanted noise, and enhanced engine response. The vehicle now delivers smooth, dependable performance suited to its role as a daily mobility solution.
