MERCEDES KOMPRESSOR
Innovative Supercharged Performance
The Mercedes Kompressor is a great example of supercharged engineering that delivers strong, responsive performance across several models. Most commonly powered by the 1.8L M271 supercharged engine found in vehicles such as the C200 and C230 Kompressor, it produces around 189 to 190 hp and 192 lb ft of torque. This setup offers an excellent balance between everyday drivability and engaging performance, making it a popular choice in the compact luxury market. With the addition of a refined Mercedes Benz Exhaust setup, the vehicle now delivers an even more engaging driving experience.
Engineering and Driving Dynamics
This version of the Mercedes Kompressor features a lively supercharged four cylinder engine, paired with either a smooth automatic or manual transmission and rear wheel drive. The result is confident acceleration, solid top end performance, and respectable fuel efficiency. Its well balanced chassis and comfortable C Class interior make it equally suited to daily driving and more spirited use. Enhancements to the Mercedes C Class Exhaust have further improved flow and responsiveness across the rev range.
Bespoke Upgrades
To enhance the driving experience further, a resonator delete was carried out on the exhaust system. This modification removes the factory centre resonator, allowing exhaust gases to flow more freely through the system. By reducing restriction and back pressure, we improved engine breathing, resulting in sharper throttle response and a more pronounced exhaust tone. The upgraded Mercedes Kompressor Exhaust now delivers a deeper and sportier sound while maintaining comfort for everyday use.
Performance and Market Position
With its 1.8L supercharged engine producing around 190 hp and 260 Nm of torque, the Kompressor remains competitive with similar turbocharged models in its class. Achieving 0 to 60 mph in approximately 7.5 seconds, it offers a strong mix of performance and refinement. The upgraded Mercedes Kompressor Exhaust System enhances the vehicle’s character, delivering a deeper and more refined exhaust note while preserving the comfort and usability expected from a Mercedes Benz.
