MERCEDES C250 CDI W204
Introduction to the Mercedes C250 CDI W204
The Mercedes C250 CDI W204 is a luxury compact saloon that combines strong diesel performance with everyday usability. Powered by a 2.1 litre bi turbo diesel engine producing 201 hp and 500 Nm of torque, it offers an ideal balance of efficiency and power, making it a popular choice for drivers seeking refinement with performance.
Performance and Driving Dynamics
This vehicle received a DPF delete alongside a Stage 1 ECU remap, transforming both performance and reliability. The restrictive factory filter was removed from the Mercedes C Class Exhaust, significantly improving exhaust gas flow and reducing back pressure. This allows the turbochargers to operate more efficiently and deliver power more smoothly.
With the Stage 1 calibration in place, fuel delivery, boost pressure and throttle response were carefully optimised. The result is stronger acceleration, improved mid range torque and a noticeably sharper throttle response. In addition, common DPF issues such as warning lights, regeneration faults and limp mode were fully resolved, creating a far more dependable driving experience.
Dimensions and Competitors in the UK Market
The C250 CDI measures approximately 4640 mm in length, 1770 mm in width and 1440 mm in height, with a kerb weight of around 1700 kg. It offers a towing capacity of up to 1800 kg and typically runs on 225 45 R17 tyres, delivering a stable and composed ride. In the UK market, it competes with the BMW 320d and Audi A4 2.0 TDI, standing out with its refined diesel performance and improved exhaust efficiency.
DKU Performance Upgrades and Exhaust Systems
A major focus of this build was enhancing the Mercedes C-class Exhaust Upgrade to unlock the full potential of the engine. The DPF delete plays a key role in freeing up the exhaust system, allowing the engine to breathe properly and operate more efficiently across the rev range.
Combined with the Stage 1 remap, this Mercedes C250 CDI W204 now benefits from smoother power delivery, improved efficiency and a much more responsive driving experience, all while maintaining the comfort and practicality expected from the C Class platform.
