Design and Dimensions
The CLK430 measures 4580 mm long, 1723 mm wide, and 1372 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2692 mm, giving it a sleek and balanced stance suited to both city driving and longer journeys. Weighing approximately 1507 kg, it delivers a strong mix of stability and agility thanks to its double wishbone front suspension and independent multi link rear suspension, enhancing both handling and ride comfort. Competing with the BMW 3 Series Coupe and Audi A4 Coupe in the UK market, the CLK430 stands out with its naturally aspirated V8 engine and timeless Mercedes styling, further elevated with a Mercedes Benz Exhaust upgrade.
Performance and Handling
The 4.3-litre V8 engine provides effortless torque and smooth power delivery, making the CLK430 responsive and refined in all driving conditions. Its rear wheel drive setup and well engineered chassis offer confident cornering alongside a composed ride, making it an ideal choice for drivers seeking a luxury coupe that performs just as well on spirited drives as it does on everyday journeys.
DKU Performance Upgrades and Exhaust Systems
To enhance the performance and sound of this Mercedes-Benz CLK430 Exhaust, a secondary decat was carried out along with a custom straight through exhaust system from the decat section. Removing the secondary catalytic converter significantly improves exhaust gas flow, while the straight through Mercedes-Benz CLK430 Exhaust System reduces restriction and back pressure throughout.
These upgrades transformed the vehicle by allowing the V8 engine to breathe more freely, sharpening throttle response and delivering a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note. The result is a refined yet powerful Mercedes Benz Performance Exhaust tone, improving both sound character and overall driving engagement while maintaining the car’s original smoothness.
