JAGUAR XC
Jaguar XC Overview and DPF Challenges
This Jaguar XC arrived with ongoing Diesel Particulate Filter issues and emissions related faults, including persistent engine management warnings and restricted performance. The vehicle was suffering from a DPF dosing malfunction along with NOx exceedance faults, impacting the efficiency of the Jaguar XC Exhaust System and causing warning messages to remain active.
Engine Specifications and Performance
The Jaguar XC is equipped with a turbo diesel engine where correct emissions control is essential for performance. Fault codes linked to the NOx control monitoring system, NOx driver inducement, and selective catalytic reduction powertrain restriction were identified. These issues increased exhaust back pressure within the Jaguar XC Exhaust, reducing turbo efficiency and affecting throttle response and drivability.
DKU Performance Enhancements
A full diagnostic assessment was carried out, followed by completion of DPF Solution 2 to address the emissions system faults. This process focused on resolving the DPF dosing malfunction and reducing excessive NOx readings that were triggering engine management alerts and powertrain restriction warnings. The work carried out improved the overall function of the emissions system while targeting the root cause of the restricted performance.
Custom Exhaust Systems and Tuning Benefits
Following the DPF solution, exhaust flow across the Jaguar XC Exhaust System was improved, helping to reduce back pressure and support better turbo response. Addressing the DPF and NOx related issues enhanced engine efficiency and drivability, resulting in a smoother and more consistent driving experience while minimising ongoing emissions related interruptions.
