FORD FUSION
Ford Fusion Overview
The Ford Fusion, which hit the roads in 2006, is a solid mid size sedan that combines style with practicality. Available with a range of petrol and diesel engines from 1.4 to 2.5 litres, it offers a balance of everyday usability and confident performance. With front wheel drive and a choice of manual or automatic transmissions, the Fusion remains a popular option for UK drivers looking for reliability, comfort, and sensible running costs.
Performance and Specs
The 2.5 litre inline 4 engine produces up to 182 horsepower and 232 Nm of torque, paired with a 6 speed automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in around 8.9 seconds and reach a top speed of approximately 130 mph. Measuring 4820 mm in length, 1820 mm in width, and 1475 mm in height, with a 2775 mm wheelbase, the Fusion offers generous interior space while maintaining composed handling thanks to its balanced weight of around 1500 kg.
Fuel Efficiency and Market Standing
Fuel economy ranges between 30 and 40 mpg depending on the engine variant, with CO2 emissions typically between 150 and 180 g per km. Competing with models such as the Vauxhall Insignia, Honda Accord, and Skoda Octavia, the Fusion stands out for its practicality and value.
Custom Exhaust Upgrade Options
This Ford Fusion Exhaust upgrade focused on transforming both sound and rear styling through a tailored setup. A backbox delete was carried out and paired with upgraded exhaust tips, delivering a noticeably deeper and sportier tone while improving overall exhaust flow.
To further enhance the Ford Fusion Exhaust System, a resonator delete option was also integrated to increase volume and sharpen the exhaust note without compromising daily drivability. For customers wanting a more complete upgrade, both resonated and non resonated cat back exhaust systems were developed, replacing the factory system from the catalytic converter backwards to improve airflow, reduce back pressure, and sharpen throttle response.
A dual rear ST style conversion was also completed, giving the Fusion a much more aggressive twin exit rear appearance while complementing the upgraded sound profile. The result is a well balanced exhaust upgrade that enhances performance, delivers a stronger road presence, and provides a more engaging driving experience.
