BMW X5D: A Stylish Diesel SUV That Packs a Punch
The BMW X5D is a standout luxury diesel SUV, bringing together strong performance and smart engineering. Introduced in the early 2010s, it’s powered by a 3.0 litre turbocharged inline 6 diesel engine that produces 255 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. With its 8 speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive, this SUV strikes a great balance between power and handling, going from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.5 seconds.
Recently, this BMW X5D came in with a long standing DPF warning light caused by heavy soot build up within the BMW X5D Exhaust System. A full DPF Solution 3 treatment was carried out, including a professional steam clean of the diesel particulate filter to fully restore exhaust flow and reduce back pressure. In addition, a worn turbo clamp was replaced to ensure a secure seal within the BMW X5D Exhaust, preventing leaks and maintaining correct turbo performance. These repairs resolved the underlying exhaust issues, restoring performance and improving overall reliability.
Size and Practical Use of the BMW X5D
When it comes to size, the BMW X5D is roughly 4886 mm long, 1939 mm wide, and 1762 mm high, weighing in at around 2200 kg. It can tow up to 3500 kg, making it perfect for both fun adventures and practical tasks. The tyres usually measure 255 50 R19, which helps it feel solid on the road and comfortable to drive.
Great Fuel Efficiency and Economy
Fuel efficiency is one of the highlights of this SUV, often achieving around 27 mpg combined, thanks to its efficient diesel engine and well functioning BMW X5D Exhaust System. By carrying out a deep DPF clean and resolving exhaust restrictions, we improved exhaust flow and reduced strain on the engine, helping maintain fuel economy and long term efficiency.
DKU Performance Upgrades: Boosting Power and Sound
Diagnostic checks also identified a glow plug fault code, which can be addressed once all mechanical systems are operating at their best. With the BMW X5D Exhaust fully restored through DPF cleaning and turbo clamp replacement, the vehicle is now well prepared for future performance upgrades. Enhancements such as a BMW X5D Exhaust Upgrade or DKU Performance tuning can further improve power delivery, throttle response, and overall driving experience.
