The BMW X5 40d is an impressive luxury SUV that really prioritises strong performance and efficient driving. It’s powered by a 3.0 litre twin turbo inline 6 diesel engine producing 340 horsepower and 630 Nm of torque from factory, paired with an 8 speed automatic transmission and a mild hybrid system. To enhance this already capable platform, a Stage 1 ECU and TCU remap was carried out. The software upgrade increases torque by 17 percent, raising output from 630 Nm to 740 Nm. The gearbox calibration was also optimised, delivering more strong and precise gear changes that better match the increased power.
