AUDI MK3 TTRS
Audi MK3 TTRS Overview
The Audi MK3 TTRS, produced between 2018 and 2023, is powered by a turbocharged 2.5 litre five cylinder engine delivering 394 bhp and 480 Nm of torque through a seven speed S Tronic gearbox and Quattro all wheel drive system. With 0 to 60 mph achieved in just 3.6 seconds, it is a serious performance machine with everyday usability and a distinctive five cylinder soundtrack.
To enhance this already impressive platform, a fully custom Audi TTRS Exhaust System was designed and fabricated. The setup included a CAT back exhaust with a resonator delete and a custom valved backbox, delivering improved exhaust flow, reduced restriction and a much deeper, more aggressive tone suited to the TTRS performance character.
Key Dimensions and Performance
Measuring approximately 4,180 mm in length, 1,832 mm in width and 1,350 mm in height, the MK3 TTRS combines compact sports car proportions with strong road presence. Weighing around 1,440 kg, it delivers sharp acceleration and confident handling, competing with cars such as the BMW M2 and Porsche Cayman.
The upgraded Audi TTRS Exhaust features a resonator delete, which helps free up exhaust flow and enhances the natural five cylinder sound. By removing the restrictive centre section, the system allows the engine to breathe more efficiently while producing a sharper and more engaging exhaust note.
Tuning Potential and Driving Experience
The 2.5 TFSI engine is well known for its strong tuning potential, and improving the exhaust system is a key step in maximising performance. This Audi TTRS Exhaust Upgrade improves throttle response by reducing back pressure while delivering a more responsive and engaging driving experience.
A custom valved backbox was integrated into the system, allowing seamless control over sound levels. This provides a refined tone for daily driving when closed, and a louder, more aggressive exhaust note when opened, giving the driver full control over the car character.
Exhaust Upgrades with DKU Performance
Rather than relying on off the shelf options, a fully custom stainless steel CAT back Audi TTRS Exhaust System was fabricated to meet the exact requirements. This included the resonator delete and a precision built valved rear section, ensuring perfect fitment and a tailored sound profile.
The result is improved exhaust efficiency, reduced back pressure, enhanced turbo flow and a deeper, more characterful tone that truly complements the MK3 TTRS five cylinder engine.
