FORD EUN
Tough Design and Functionality of the Ford EUN
The Ford EUN, commonly associated with Transit models, is built for durability, practicality, and dependable day to day performance. Designed to handle demanding workloads, it remains a popular choice for both commercial and personal use thanks to its strong diesel engine options and robust build quality. With the right Ford EUN Exhaust setup, these vehicles can deliver improved efficiency and long term reliability.
Engine Power and Specs
Ford Transit EUN models are typically equipped with 2.0 to 2.2 litre diesel engines, delivering between 85 kW (114 PS) and 125 kW (170 PS) with torque figures ranging from 350 Nm to 400 Nm. These engines are available with manual or automatic gearboxes, offering reliable rear wheel drive capability and fuel efficiency of approximately 35 to 40 mpg on motorway journeys. Enhancing the Ford EUN Exhaust System allows these engines to perform more freely under load.
Market Standing and Competitor Comparison
Measuring around 5.3 metres in length, 2.0 metres in width, and between 2.0 and 2.5 metres in height depending on roof configuration, the Ford Transit EUN sits strongly within the light commercial vehicle segment. With a kerb weight between 2,100 and 2,500 kg and a towing capacity exceeding 2,500 kg, it competes directly with models such as the Mercedes Benz Sprinter, Volkswagen Transporter, and Renault Trafic across the UK market.
DKU Custom Exhaust Systems for Better Performance
This Ford EUN came in following an MOT failure caused by issues within the Diesel Particulate Filter. Although the vehicle was not in limp mode and continued to run with stable engine and turbo performance, the restriction within the system needed to be resolved.
A DKU Performance DPF Solution 2 upgrade was carried out as part of a complete Ford EUN Exhaust upgrade. This process removed the restriction within the exhaust system, significantly improving exhaust gas flow and reducing back pressure. As a result, we restored proper system function, improved engine breathing, and delivered smoother and more consistent power delivery.
The upgraded setup provides a more efficient and reliable Ford EUN Exhaust System, helping the vehicle perform better under daily working conditions while resolving the issue that caused the MOT failure.
